Improvisation can sometimes seem intimidating though there are lots of practical exercises and activities you can use to get improvising quickly and effectively. In this playful workshop we will explore a range of these approaches to improv’ and soloing on the bodhran alongside real musical examples.

THE WORKSHOP WILL COVER :

  • Intermediate and advanced technical and musical exercises

  • Sound development and left hand pitching techniques

  • Set listening and pieces to practice. Coordination and dexterity development

THIS COURSE WILL CATER FOR INTERMEDIATE PLAYERS AND ABOVE OF ALL AGES. UNDER 16'S WILL NEED TO ATTEND WITH A PARENT/CARER.

DRUMS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR USE DURING THE WORKSHOP OR BRING YOUR OWN DRUM!
